AIDS Awareness
61This is an e-mail that I received recently, which I guess many of you might have received. Its completely hoax. Please read below this to know the truth.
Dear All,It's in INDIA -karnataka - Bangalore
A 10 year old boy, had eaten pineapple about 15 days back, and fellsick, from the day he had eaten. Later when he had his Health check done... doctors diagnosed that he had AIDS.
His parents couldn't believe it...Then the entire family under went a checkup... none of them suffered from Aids. So the doctors checked again with the boy if he had eaten out...The boy said "yes". He had pineapple that evening. Immediately a group from the hospital went to the pineapple vendor to check.
They found the pineapple seller had a cut on his finger while cutting the pineapple; his blood had spread into the fruit. When they had his blood checked...the guy was suffering from AIDS...but he himself was NOT aware. Unfortunately the boy is suffering from it now.
Please take care while u eat on the road side (particularly tasty vada pav & Paani Puri) and pls fwd this mail to your dear one's.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, hear what the truth is:
It is an HOAX mail, don't get carried away by it.I can assure u that u won't get AIDS while eating from roadside stalls even if the person who cooks it, is an AIDS(HIV) infected person or even from a mosquito that has just bit a HIV patient !!!
Despite of all AIDS awareness campaigns in India , people have wrong notion about it. And people forwarding it to all.
Now read the information given below carefully(even if it takes some of your precious chatting time...)
The AIDS virus is transferred through bodily fluids but not saliva. You can get AIDS through the following bodily fluids:
1.blood transfusion
2.vaginal fluid
3.preseminal fluid
4.semen
5.breast milk
Here are some ways you may come into contact with AIDS:
unprotected sex (anal, vaginal and oral).
pregnancy and childbirth
breast-feeding
using contaminated hypodermic needles
blood transfusions
This means you can still kiss and hold hands with somebody who has AIDS - but you have to be extra careful if either of you has an area of broken skin.
Please note that, you get infection through blood of infected person
In blood infection, your open cut/wound must not come in contact with HIV infected person's blood, so thats what you have to take care of!
Hope that I didn't waste your time.
